Coaching North West offer opportunities for coaches from a wide range of individual and team sports and multi sport activities including non traditional sports and fitness activities.
The opportunities available include paid and voluntary opportunities. Coaches will be asked during registration whether they want to be considered for paid or voluntary positions or both.
The majority of coaches who want to be paid for their coaching will be engaged via Coaching North West on an employed basis. This means that tax and National Insurance contributions will be deducted before you are paid.
If you are considering coaching across a variety of organisations then you might consider being engaged on a self employed basis. This approach will provide coaches with the maximum flexibility in terms of choosing for whom and when they work. Coaching North West will use the criteria outlined by Inland Revenue to assess if you qualify to be considered self-employed (http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/employment-status and http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/selfemployed/)
